US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday called President George W. Bush "a total failure" who "has no ideas," in an interview with CNN.
Responding to stinging criticism from Bush on the Democratic leadership in both houses of Congress and the slow pace of the legislative agenda, as Congress prepares for its one-month summer recess in August, Pelosi let loose:
"You know, God bless him, bless his heart, the president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject."
Pelosi, 68, said the House and Senate were busy "trying to sweep up after (Bush's) mess over and over and over again ... The president knows it. He needs something to talk about. Because he has no ideas."
The speaker was especially critical of Bush's proposal to lift a ban on offshore oil drilling as a means to ease the current fuel price crisis, calling it a ploy to draw attention away from his failures.

Despite whatever other differences and mistakes, or how you and the left may howl, his policies freed 50 million people, his policies have kept us safe here at home for the last 8 years, and his policies have precided over a period (outside of the last few months) of unparalled growth and prosperity for most Americans.
You, OTHO, have presided over precisely nothing, and worse, have allowed, by you inaction, and your blocking of policies that could have and would have made a difference, brought on us most of the problems we are now experiencing.
History will mark you as the leader of that Nancy...and I believe you know it and are lashing out at the man who is far your better.
She is a traitor first, a total failure second;)
Um, I’m not sure “energy” was the best example.
It is this Congress and this Speaker that has royally screwed up on energy and neglected the real solution — more production.
Then next time just spell it bich!!! (grin)
Yes Pelosi, you suffer from psychopathology. Now get out of congress and seek help.
9%.
Pelose knows something about measuring failure, since she is the yardstick.
I would not be so quick to dismiss her concern. After all, she knows more about being a total failure than just about anyone and if the old saying it takes one to know one is indeed correct........
just kidding.
President Bush is a monumental testimony to decency and intelligence compared to the pathetic pelosi.
Pot, Kettle?
What are you talking about? Pelosi is an idiot and Bush is the most successful president in my lifetime. Bush:
1. Successfully prosecuted the war on terror liberating millions and keep further attacks on the US at bay. Something no president since the attacks on the Marines in Beruit has done.
2. Got his tax cuts bringing the US out of the Clinton recession that could have been exacerbated by the 911 attacks. He has presided over a solidly grown economy since then despite increasing oil prices. [Look at what those did to the economy in 74 and 79.]
3. Moved the US Supreme Court solidly in the direction he desired with two strong appointments.
He really is the strongest lame duck in the 20th century. Even now on say oil drilling, they quake in their boots in Congress at bucking him.
He does not judge himself by polls and neither should you. That is the coin of DC and idiots like Pelosi. Polls don’t measure success. And as I said Bush has been more successful than FDR, Reagan or LBJ.
Mommy always used to say “consider the source” and in this case that is just as far as anyone needs to look.
That’s amusing, bless her heart, considering she’s running the congress with the single digit approval rating.
What, Nancy addressed the problem. Her answer is screw you America.
I will call her a bitch, because she is one.

She is much more than this. If posted I might get banned.
Can you say “projection” anyone? I knew you could!
Judas Priest!!! Didja hafta do dat??? YUCK!!!
The numbers speak for themselves:
Congress approval rating - 9%
President Bush - 28%
Case closed.
Wow that Syrian point of view SURE carries a lot of weight around here she should try stand-up comedy next with macho man Reed.
