The court also upheld the acquittal of an Egyptian suspected of masterminding the attacks, because he had already been convicted of the offence in Italy.

How bizarre. They can't convict someone because he's already been found guilty elsewhere but they CAN convict someone who has already been tried and acquitted before. Their system is screwy!

And we have libs here who actually respect European law? Gads, a law degree used to represent a modicum of intellectual achievement. Apparently, this is no longer the case. Examples? 1/2 of our supreme court, Ted Kennedy, and the Obamaloon.

However it convicted and jailed one of those originally found not guilty.

Talk about an all powerful Supreme Court, they can apparently do anything they please. In our system the Constitution forbids a person being tried and tried again until the State gets a conviction. Fifth Amendment; "nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb."

After this second sentence on 3/11, only three people are convicted regarding the Madrid Train Bombinngs, Jamal Zougham and Otman El Ganoui, both Muslims; and the Christian miner Trashorras, for supplying the explosives. The rest were convicted for belonging to a terror organization or trafficking with explosives, but not for the attack itself.

Neither Zougham nor El Ganoui were Islamists.

Many Spaniards still don't swallow the official version on the attacks, full of contradictions, and have constituted themselves in an association whose members examine all the official and unofficial documents and information on the case, the Peones Negros. You can check a video on the issue here.

Furthermore, you may check the contradictions on the case here: Search @ Freerep
