Isn’t 6 cups a day at Starbucks near $30? I’ve never had the stuff so I don’t know but I’ve been told it’s a habit-forming brew.

Could be that much since one report I read said he liked the fancy coffees. 30 dollars a day, and he came in on off days too, is a 10800 dollar a year loss in revenue to the location.

It depends on what you buy. Sure, their "specialty drinks" can cost upwards of $4... but for their drip coffee, you can get a tall (12 oz) for around $1.95 -- and you get a $.10 discount if you bring in your own travel mug. I figure that $1.85 for a good, strong cup of coffee once or twice a week is a rather inexpensive way to treat myself. :-)

I've never set foot in a Starbucks or even had a cup of their coffee. I have heard that a slang name for Starbucks is “Fourbucks.” So your calculation is not that far off.

Or more. Not counting the pastries, sandwiches and who know what else he extorted that's $150.00 a week. $600.00 a month. $7,200 a year. Doesn't seem too petty to me.
