Here is my favorite Indian poem which I have passed on to friends who have lost loved ones. This is hard to believe, but when I went in just now to look for a copy, it was on top of my desk—with photographs of our yard after one of the few snowfalls we had here in Philadelphia this winter! This is definitely a God Wink!

I’m Not Here

Don’t stand by my grave and weep
For I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamonds glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you waken in morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there. I did not die.

There will be a full moon tomorrow night!

Farewell, beloved friend.
