I'm a lifelong American, and Hell will freeze and thaw many times before I'd vote for Obama.
and I despise McCain.

when I hear the words, “I am a life long Republican but I am voting for Obama...” I think of men who try to explain their gay liaisons by starting off talking about how straight they are.

I would not be surprised if this is lying about being a lifelong conservative activist? This may be his ploy to convince conservatives to vote Obama?

“This November, I’m voting for Barack Obama.”
God for you. Now STFU, drama queen.

The answer [to why Larry's voting for B-HO] is simple: Unjustified war and unconstitutional abridgment of individual rights Which abridgements are those, Larry? Not surprisingly, he gives no examples. Libs, when pressed for specifics, usually respond...."uh, uh, uh...GITMO!!!"

Quick analogy, I once had a car wash attendant offer me his research on how the federal government and all its various departments are illegal and unconstitutional.
That's what I think of when a supposedly "intelligent" person tells us that the war or homeland security measures are "unconstitutional".
How did he miss that we have a rather liberal Supreme Court which has made no such determination, or that these wars and programs have been approved by liberal democrat congresses?

I’m not crazy about voting for McCain either but I will put my love of my country ahead of everything else. America can easily survive a McCain administration. If Obama is elected, America will be over. Larry might think he’s a “conservative” but he doesn’t sound like one to me.

How about Bravo Sierra comprade Hunter. Capisce?
A true conservative could never support Obama...unless he has been bought and paid for (and is thus no conservative at all, but a political whore), or unless he has drunk the kool-aid and morphed into a marxist useful idiot.
Any true consevative is having to hold back bile to vote for McCain in many ways, but may be able to do so to avoid the arsenic and cyanide that Obama represents.
Obama's vies on taxes, abortion, immigration, the 2nd amendment, marriage, moral values, the military, the war againsty islamic jihad, the economy, the environment, energy etc., etc. are all the anti-thesis of conservatism and will serve to destroy this nations way of life, it's propseriy, and its liberty.
In many areas McCain is just as bad...but on marriage, the 2nd amendment, taxes, energy, abortion (and the USSC as regards it), and the war on ISlamic Jihad represent differences enough for me to abjectly oppose Obama and his poison.

“John McCain would continue the Bush administration’s commitment to interventionism and constitutional overreach. “
And Obama would turn to as much Marxism as he could get away with.
They really want an all out socialist/communist vs. something less offensive?
Whatever.

Conservatism is now supporting defeat abroad, big government at home and same sex marriage and abortion on demand? I don't think he sounds like a conservative. I smell a ZOT thread here!

Obviously the guy has mental problems, a disconnect with reality and world events, an inability to rationalize and see a person for who they truly are- sort of like a guy who sees a fat chick as a skinny chick.
He should seek help.

"I'm a lifelong conservative... " Now, if you're really a conservative, why do you need to reassure people of your credentials when you're supporting a candidate whose philosophy and voting record are at complete odds with everything you believe in? No one abandons their life long beliefs because of a liberal's good looks. Which leads one to think there's another reason why he feels compelled to tell us he's voting for Obama and its not the one he's offering on the record.
