A collie that disappeared from his suburban Chicago owners more than five years ago has been located 85 miles away in the town of Rockford, Ill.
Bo was reunited with the Moeller family of Arlington Heights, Ill., thanks to a microchip that allowed authorities to identify his owners, the Daily Herald newspaper in Arlington Heights reported Wednesday.
I honestly hadn't thought about Bo in so long, said Melissa Moeller, 23. It seems so far-fetched that he would be found.
Kelly Swanson of the Winnebago County Animal Services says a resident discovered Bo running loose and called the shelter.
This is the first time ever that I have found any animal that's been gone for that long, Swanson told the Daily Herald.
Swanson says there is no way of knowing where he spent the last five years, the newspaper said.
And boy was the lamb pissed.
5 years, wow.
Bo .. is found.
of course, they won’t mention the millions in gambling losses at local dog tracks.
I can’t seem to find it, but I beleive there was a thread yesterday about a beagle (”Rocco”) who was also missing for 5 years and was found 850 miles from home. Reunited with a (now) 11-year-old girl owner.
"So Bo... me and da boys want to have a talk wit' you
about a lotta kibble you owed before your 'disappearance'."

Is Global Warming behind this?
PING
My brother’s dog disappeared for something like a year. They live in Dallas, and one day they spotted the dog playing in a field by a Target about 3 or 4 miles away from their home. The scary thing is he was right by a busy street (Northwest Highway for the Dallasites).
Anyway, the dog seemed a bit scruffy and was a bit in shock, but it was their dog.
They don’t know how he got lost, or how he stayed alive for so long.
Losses??
This might explain all the letters I’ve gotten from the IRS addressed to him.
I hope you returned with note that
Occupant is deceased or sumthin’
And now for this important DOGGIEPING Announcement!
I've lost my list!
I did a deep clean of my computer and I guess inadvertently deleted the folder I kept the ping list in.
If you were previously on my ping list and would still like to be on the list now, please let me know... I am re-building the list from scratch!
You mean to restore the list? I don’t know how to get it to show the whole ping list, only those names that are visible. Even on a view source, they don’t all show up?
I am still looking for a dog I lost over 15 years ago. He is probably long dead and still I look.
GR/NR Is it possible to restore a ping list?
Bo’s a COLLIE????
Somehow I can’t see that. Mmmmmmm......changes my view of certain folk.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
