'Considerable presence' of global warming skeptics exist, science group admits
Excerpt: What consensus? The American Physical Society reports: There is a considerable presence within the scientific community of people who do not agree with the IPCC conclusion that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are very probably likely to be primarily responsible for the global warming that has occurred since the Industrial Revolution. - So it has opened a debate, kicked off by Christopher Monckton: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2007) concluded that anthropogenic CO2 emissions probably caused more than half of the global warming of the past 50 years and would cause further rapid warming. However, global mean surface temperature has not risen since 1998 and may have fallen since late 2001. The present analysis suggests that the failure of the IPCCs models to predict this and many other climatic phenomena arises from defects in its evaluation of the three factors whose product is climate sensitivity More importantly, the conclusion is that, perhaps, there is no climate crisis, and that currently-fashionable efforts by governments to reduce anthropogenic CO2 emissions are pointless, may be ill-conceived, and could even be harmful.

RIP: Man-Made Global Warming Fears 1988-2008.
BUMP!
If they were normal human beings they would be happy to find out their fears were unfounded. They would want to hear good news. As it is they are so far down the self righteous path that they would be terribly disappointed if it were proved that the earth was not in danger.
Don’t worry, the luny Left and the envirowhackos are already constructing their next doomsday scenario as rationale for sucking the juices out of the world economy. They have come VERY close with the global warming nonsense to reaching their goal of universal socialism; one can imagine they might very succeed next time around.
“They have come VERY close with the global warming nonsense to reaching their goal of universal socialism; one can imagine they might very succeed next time around.”
It’s not over yet, anymore than Hillary’s nomination for Prez. The Fat Lady hasn’t sung her song on either.
They might very well succeed- briefly. But the cure is never very far behind socialism. Total economic collapse, murder and mayhem, absolute madness follows, and quick secession of Marxist tyrants rise and fall.
I just wonder if there will be anyone left who will remember what the cure was the last time this happened. Or will America find itself lost in the same hopeless state Europe was in the first part of the 20th century (and is well on it’s way there again)
They don't need AGW anymore. We are going to have a "Manhattan Project" for alternative energy and a "Manhattan Project" for finding and intercepting small asteroids. Apparently "Manhattan Project" is the mewspeak phrase for "take money from taxpayers to give to academia so that they will continue corrupting science to justify more Manhattan Projects"
Say it isn't so, Comrade, please, say it isn't so.
Where's that a'ls still sore guy?
We can put the blame on him.
I agree - these guys are relentless. I thought they were done for good when the Soviet Union crumbled, but they came back surrepticiously and with a vengeance, morphed as enviromarxists and multiculturalists.
They’re a permanent fixture. The guy was right - the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
Say it isn't so, Comrade, please, say it isn't so.

Harry Reid said the oil companies made to much money. Isn’t that proof enough?
