The shift is relative because the Obamachicken was afraid to cross the road to debate.

One could argue that McCain changed his position on oil drilling and the tax cuts as a result of a new set of facts. Sky high prices based on demand in the case of oil and economic growth from tax cuts and changed his mind.
Obama says one thing on Monday to one audience and something completely different on Wednesday to another audience. That is change that is convenient.

All of your shifts are much better than mine.

Right.
It appears McCain never opposed the principle of tax cuts, rather he opposed the particular bill because it didn’t include lower spending.
Obama, on the other hand, is just making things up frantically.

Oh! McCain shifts. what does Obama do ... lie, obfuscate, misinform, mislead, fib, fabricate, prevaricate.
What's that old phrase? Ah, yes: "If his mouth is open, his lying."

Yes. Maybe not taxes in my opinion, that’s a big flip flop. McCain hasn’t flipped an iota on amnesty/Z visas. They are just fighting over how they hide their positions.
Obama has done the biggest. He didn’t just flip on public financing, he previously made his embrace of it a central point of his campaign. He didn’t only say he would vote against Fisa, he said he would filibuster it. He didn’t only not wear the flag pin, he argued against its necessity.
He also does flip flops on his personal relationships, which I haven’t seen McCain do at all.

Why doesn't the guy just say, I'm sorry, I changed my mind?
This pretending he said something he didn't say and erasing pages from his website to cover his tracks is really pathetic.

Obama-supporting bloggers, you are now thrown under the bus.
Hillary might pull it off after all.

At any rate, McCain shifted his position in the correct direction. Kerry shifted his position against the troops and against aiding Iraq, that is why Kerry lost.
