The creator of the beefcake calendar on my desk that has struck some of my male colleagues speechless has been excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Chad Hardy, the creator of a 2008 calendar that featured topless male Mormon missionaries, was ousted from the church this week after a disciplinary hearing with Nevada church leaders.
"I have no regrets, said Hardy, 31, a sixth-generation Mormon who conceived the calendar as a way to spark healthy dialogue about expectations imposed by the church and to soften the image of missionaries around the world.
The ''Men on a Mission" calendar, which has sold nearly 10,000 copies and raised thousands of dollars for charity, featured pictures of 12 former missionaries baring their torsos for the camera.
The calendar also featured smaller photographs of the men in traditional missionary uniform and short profiles about their religious beliefs.

Along with some comments regarding the breach of confidentiality by church authorities. I'd encourage all to go there and read it first hand. One will see a common tactic used in these high profile excommunications - spying and the attempt to pin sexual immorality upon the individual. And this coming from a church that condoned Smith's violation of state and federal law as well as church law by starting polygamy and trying to keep it under wraps until the final cover was blown at Nauvoo.

Oh, piffle. Strikes me as just another hit piece by the MSM on Christianity, this time involving the Mormons, seeking to portray us as bunch of sexually repressed puritans. All churches have the absolute right to set the standards of membership. Besides, now I’m kinda wondering about the sexual orientation of the guy who put that calendar together. Something is strange in this whole calendar business.

He no longer pays tithing or wears the religious undergarments considered sacred. They just GOTTA be 'sacred'; for it's right there in Chapter X verse Y of Book Z.

You know the problem with this Mormon beefcake stuff?
She’s say ‘oh God!’ and he’d say ‘oh Joseph!’
... awkward...

Somebody needs to post some of the standard church library pics of the Stripling Warriors and other book of mormon men used for teaching the children. Most of them them are shirtless and some wearing loincloths.
Just another example of LDS leadership hypocrites.

What’s wrong with the photo? Is it not the under-garments ALL Mormons must wear at all times?

Whats wrong with the photo? Is it not the under-garments ALL Mormons must wear at all times? It doesn't offend me in any way but some of the "saints" get their panties in a twist over it and similar photos have been removed before.

Panties? But they don't wear panties as I have shown with my informative photo, just ugly looking undergarments that look like they would be quite uncomfortable to have on during the summer heat.
Anybody know why they're required to wear them?
To: whatisthetruth
Superstition, pure and simple.
