Poll Finds 72 Percent of Americans Say McCain Would be Good Commander-in-Chief
Americans divide evenly between Barack Obama and John McCain's approaches to the war in Iraq, and rate McCain much more highly on his abilities as commander-in-chief key reasons the unpopular war isn't working more to Obama's advantage.
Despite broad, longstanding dissatisfaction with the war, just 50 percent of Americans prefer Obama's plan to withdraw most U.S. forces within 16 months of taking office. Essentially as many, 49 percent, side with McCain's position setting no timetable and letting events dictate when troops are withdrawn.

I’m only watching because he’s remembering Tony.
now, all that remains to be seen is whether the Daley Machine can engineer a theft of the election.

Daley has already gotten his hands singed a few times. He is focused on getting the Olympics to Chicago. Upshot is I dont think he’ll put to much of the machine on the line for Obama.
What I find more surprising is that its only 72%?!?
Seriously, what do the other 23% really think.
That Barack Hussein Obama would be able to sit down and reason with the enemy.
I know, maybe another one of those pretty “change” speeches. He start out with “I know what yur thinking, I’m not gonna listen, well, I’m here to tell you, that the days of George Bush and our American Military hunting you down and making you feel bad are over, don’t you really want to change.”
And then, just like in Harry Potter or some other equally as unbelievable fairy tale, the enemy would just simply stop fighting, because they would be so enamored by his teleprompter intelligence and eloquent speaking ability, they might even donate to his campaign.
Tell you what, why doesn’t he give it a try while he is visiting Iraq or Afghanistan, you know what, if it works and he can get the Taliban to disarm and stop shooting at out Soldier’s, I’ll vote for him...one caveat, he doesn’t get a flak jacket, no weapon (because, you know, guns are bad, M-Kay), no security detail - just man to man...because that would be no conditions.
If that fantasy doesn’t work, we will always have reality - John McCain.
I referred to Daley mostly metaphorically, associated inseperably as his name [and his locale] is with the art of stealing elections.
