Rush didn’t help Fred because the all-knowing Maha Rushie understood something that many of us here couldn’t: that Thompson was a non-starter and a sure-loser that couldn’t generate the excitement needed for a successful campaign.

He saw it in Romney though.

Fred let us all down once already.
Isn’t once enough? The stakes are much higher in November than they were in January.

He knew and I know no such thing. Fred was the real deal. A statesman and a giant and an actual Conservative who stood in sharp contrast to the slick fraud from Ratsachusetts who was a genuine liberal and a cheap, Stepford wife politician who had to bribe the weak-willed into supporting him. Democrats nominate con-men, so let *omney run as Obama's VP. After all, he was the best Democrat Governor his state ever had. He did deliver the death blow to the Republican party and implemented his Socialist vision.

Fred didn't let me down at all. He had the best ideas of all the Republican candidates put together, and was under the mistaken impression that that's what Republicans wanted; they'd said so in poll after poll. Republican voters let Fred down, because they seemed to prefer flash, dash and a pretty face this year. Too bad they didn't get any of that, in the long run.

That comment tells me that you either didn't listen to Rush or you didn't understand him. Either way, it doesn't reflect well on you or your opinion.

Rush, if you still don't understand, CLEARLY indicated a preference toward Thompson prior to SC. He also CLEARLY said that it wasn't his job to pick the candidate or tell people how to vote.
