Thanks for your comments, but I see nothing there that hasn't been said already.

As for choices, I will decide on that when the time comes.

On the dialog between Boortz and Barr, the latter's "plan" is nothing more than "amnesty lite". He offers up the usual weak "too many to deport" open borders excuse when he is well aware that a tough enforcement program will accomplish what has been called "sel-deportation". It works. But not without tough and determined enforcement.

For true conservatives, McCain is not an option. For those with more flexible principles, however, he is a definite possibility.

McCain actually touches on much more than immigration here. To the surprise of some I'm sure, he also once again reaffirms his commitment to securing our border.

The McCain List.

“The Libertarian Party has not exactly been strong on the issue of controlling the Mexican invasion into this country,” Boortz began.”

Nor has Neal Boortz been strong on illegal immigration over the years. I listed to him for several years starting in the mid-nineties. He often proclaimed himself to be a Libertarian, and I heard him state his position on immigration several times BEFORE the amnesty debates of the past few years. I always disagreed with his position.

Libertarians are almost open borders advocates, at least they were a few years ago. Boortz would say that anyone who wished to come here and work, be self-supporting and obey our laws should be allowed to come here. Meaning, no immigrations laws to prevent such people from coming here.

He’s changed since, and has been a strong opponent of amnesty, and calls the illegals invaders.

Make that “self-deportation” in the third paragraph.

“The disdain for, and total lack of respect, for politicians is growing at an exponential rate.”

They (especially Juan) are getting what they deserve, in spades.

Hispanics work hard and sacrifice a lot

Insert any ethnic group in that statement, Whites, Blacks, Asians, etc., and what he is saying is that all people of a certain ethnic group are the same. It's an ignorant statement. This is what we are offered for a candidate. Hurl.

Where I struggle is with the fact that Juan and company (the RINOs as well as the radical socialist anti-American liberals) STILL HAVE JOBS! And we are being FORCED to pay for this kind of destruction of America -—

What is wrong with this picture??

Nothing like having the balls to go to territory that you know might be a little hostile but you have enough character to stand before them and say: “When I become President, I will be President of all the people; those who love me and those who oppose me.”

Good for John McCain. He has the guts to go before La Raza and the NAACP; unlike Bush, who ran and hid, every year, from both groups.

So, he should go in front of NAMBLA at their national convention as their main speaker, too?

I believe the role of government is to unleash the creativity, ingenuity and hard work of the American people, and make it easier to create jobs.

No, Juan, the role of government is to get the (explicative deleted) out of the way.

Well, at least McQueeg was telling the truth when he said he doesn't know much about the economy. Or, whatever it was he said...

I can't read this anymore.

“Either we have McCain in the White House, or we get to spend the next four or eight years poking these “Bobs” with a sharp stick because they sat on their hands in November, 2008. :)”

I’m not trying to start a flame war, but do you REALLY think that if all the Freepers ran out en masse to vote for McCain it would be enough to tilt the election to him? If we were that powerful, Fred Thompson would be the nominee. I expect some real ugliness here in November if McCain loses, and it will totally uncalled for.

If you look at Rasmussen’s internals, McCain is winning a greater numbber of Republican voters than Obama is of Democrat voters. IOW, this election, like all elections, will be decided in the middle, not by Freepers and not by conservatives. If trends continue, the number of registered Republicans not voting for McCain will be too small to be determinative.

It may make some immature Freepers feel better if they can vent their anger on other Freepers who made a different choice, but the few Freepers not voting for McCain are not going to make a difference.

If you want McCain to win, it would be more productive if you threatened to poke a moderate with a sharp stick, especially in Wisconsin, a state McCain could win, but currently is not.

No, Freepers are not “all-powerful” which is what also makes the fact that they think sitting home is going to prove some sort of point this election cycle. That worked SO well when we lost the Senate to the likes of Reid and Pelosi, LOL!

Do what your conscience tells you to do. I am. I want the White House for my party. I want the Senate back, at a minimum. Obama will set us back hundreds of years, if not flat-out get even more of us killed.

We can start the revolution later. :)

Compare that to McCain’s voting record...

And they match up pretty well. Especially the "F" rating from gun Rights groups.

No thanks...

“That worked SO well when we lost the Senate to the likes of Reid and Pelosi, LOL!”

It is a myth that conservatives sat out the 2006 election. Check out Rasmussen’s 2006 polls. That election, like all elections, was lost in the mushy middle, which mushed over to the Democrats out of frustration with the Republicans. Freepers constantly spread baseless assertions about why elections are lost, always hinging on the conservative vote doing this or that, which I guess makes them feel all-powerful. But the facts are the facts. The hard right vote is not enough to swing elections in this country. I wish it were, but it is not, and never has been. Republican Presidents need to win over the middle to win elections. Reagan did that by pulling those voters to the right. To a smaller extent, so did Bush I and Bush II. Bush I also had the distinct advantage of following Reagan.

McCain is trying to meet those voters on the left. We’ll see if it works. To win, McCain needs to win over white, blue-collar moderate voters in key swing states like PA. He is not going to do that by sucking up to hispanic racists in California, or by hanging out in Colombia and Mexico. If McCain loses, it will be because his campaign strategy is beyond stupid, not because 10% or so out of a few hundred thousand Freeper voters spread throughout all fifty states made the difference.
