Like the La Raza crowd will actually vote for him. Somehow McCain has gotten it into his head liberals are indispensable. But conservatives can be taken for granted...

...agreed...what you say is all too true...and I believe Obama has a better than even chance of winning this election...and yet, I’ll still pull the lever for McCain,I must be a masochist...

The mods don't edit. They would've just taken the whole comment out.

It's "there", but you have to jump through a couple of hoops to see it. (I took the liberty of resizing it. It's half a meg!)

Addenda:

Both IE and Firefox sees it as a download instead of an image. (I find that happens particularly with Google blogs).

Why do you ping me when you’re talking to yourself, culo? Were you sipping tequila while swooning over Amnesty John kowtowing to La Raza? How’s your spanish lessons coming along? What’s “Quisling” in espanol? McCain?

You’re apparently one of the few posters clueless enough to believe that McCain is a conservative. At least the La Raza racists know what he is. It’s very much like the Cold War days when liberals fooled themselves into believing that communists were their friends. You think McCain regards conservatives as his base. He’ll thank you for your support, but he thinks you’re a useful idiot.

I believe he is a damn fine individual. He is not as conservative as I would like.... But the neither was Ronald Reagan and I consider him more fondly than my own father. Don't forget Ronnie signed the last MAJOR amnesty bill and it was REAL amnesty with NO PENALTIES. By that measure, the McCain/Kennedy fiasco was a MORE conservative bill.

Their are always dichotomies to deal with life. I would have an easier time discussing McCain's shortcomings with people if they could take them with his faults.

95% of all conservatives will be voting for John McCain. Some will stay home or refuse to vote. It's their right but it's my right to believe they are exercising idiocy.

McCain has a better (more conservative) fiscal record than almost anyone EVER in the US Senate. He is pro-life and STRONGLY so. (Notice he is endorsed more and more by the various pro-life organizations around the country. He is strong on borders (he even told La Raza that nothing, NOTHING will be done on immigration/visas before securing the borders). He is strong on education freedom. He is strong on many many areas important to both fiscal and social conservatives.

PS - Speaking of the cold war days... Hmmmmm. Where was McCain during the cold war again. Where was that weaselly little coward of a backstabber agai...

Oh I remember. He was refusing a preferential release from a Gook prison camp as he retaught himself to walk and eat with limited use of his limbs. That creep! Imagine staying behind to encourage his prison mates that they could make it through with faith in their God, their country and their fellow prisoners. Imagine that bastard working in the secret codes to indicate that correspondences were forced even though HE KNEW it would get him MORE beatings and torture. That BASTARD!

Imagine him coming home to eventually defeat REAL liberals in his race for the US Senate. Imagine him racking up an 80% lifetime conservative rating from the ACU. That phony was just pretending on those 80% of the votes that the ACU said he did a good job on. Imagine him having the nerve to be the ONLY US Senator to NEVER use an earmark. Nervy bastard, faking all that.

Boy he sure has hood winked Tom DeLay, John Cornyn, Phil Gramm and a lot of other conservatives.

Or maybe they understand something that you don't. Incrementalism. Take what you can get when you can get it. Work your way slowly and steadily into the best position available for the issues that matter the most to you.

What am impressive listing of McCain’s military heroism.

In a way it’s similar to that of the Hero of Saratoga, who though badly wounded saved the Continental Army from disasterous defeat. One of the greatest of Revolutionary War generals, without him the Revolution would surely have been lost. Most people know little of that part of General Arnold’s life, if they even know that Benedict was a general. Heroism is no predictor of future greatness.

Military heroism deserves to be honored but it offers no reason to think that a man would make a good President. George McGovern volunteered for the AAF, flew 35 combat missions in WWII, and won the Distinguished Flying Cross for saving his crew.

John Kennedy served admirably in the Navy even if he did manage to get his PT cut in two by a Japanese destroyer. He was a mediocre although photogenic President.

“Boy he sure has hood winked Tom DeLay, John Cornyn, Phil Gramm and a lot of other conservatives.”

They aren’t fooled, they are simply playing party politics. You, on the other hand, appear to actually believe that McCain is conservative. The GOP loves finding guys like you.

“Or maybe they understand something that you don’t. Incrementalism. Take what you can get when you can get i”

Did you just learn a new word from Rush? Incrementalism, gradualism, the salami tactic, Fabian socialism, Gramsci’s long march through the institutions. Feel free to borrow a few, it will make you appear erudite.

“He is strong on borders (he even told La Raza that nothing, NOTHING will be done on immigration/visas before securing the borders). “

The difference is that the La Raza racists know he is lying for public consumption and will deliver exactly what they want when he takes office. It’s a ‘fool the rubes’ throwaway line, and it accomplishes just what it is designed to do.

“Secure the borders FIRST” is about as useless as any idea the open border zealots like McCain have ever offered. We have millions of illegals in southern California and securing the border without DEPORTING the illegals is worthless. But McCain knows that. He has zero intention of removing illegals from the United States. It’s just more lies and deceit from the open borders lobby, of which he is the number one Republican.

I do understand that heroism is not necessarily an indicator of political leadership or future greatness, However though you say out one side of your mouth that it deserves to be honored, you constantly berate his honorability and motives. In behaving so, you don't his or any veterans military service.

Ive had my own vocabulary and have been using it just fine for years thank you very much. I may not seem erudite on my own to you but I who cares what a person like you thinks anyway.

I don't catch rush everyday and didn't know that he was borrowing terms from me again. I'll have to send him a bill.

So finally, no one has me fooled as to whether they are “a conservative” or not. John McCain is more conservative than you because he is willing to actually do something to move the conservative cause forward. You on the other hand are like a spoiled brat willing to sit and piss his pants because he has to walk to far to actually make it to the rest room.
