The cover of the New Yorker isn’t the only controversy, the article itself is very revealing. It mentions how unstable the young Senator was, as he threatened to physically kick another Senator’s a$$! It also has this little snippet of interesting information from an Obama speech on 9/19/01 speech:

Isn’t organized crime out to make a buck for themselves, not the masses? I never understood the connection between LCN and Communism.

"You got into these villages in the Afghanistan and, like a lot of small villages in the Middle East, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Soviet invasion, and the Taliban, and each successive regime has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-American sentiment or anti-Semitic sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." ~ (Not) Barack Obama

Ya know, the idiot with this on his bumper is going to be the first one with a knife to his throat when the time comes. And the rest of us will have to rush in and save his sorry butt...

Obama betrays his vision of mankind as inherently good, virtuous, lovely and of good report and that men become otherwise simply because of oppression or unfairness. This is the thought process that says government should smooth the entire playing field and then all will be happy and kind to each other forever. It is the typical mindset of the liberal. What absolutely floors me is that this vision of mankind can be held by so many who are themselves obviously acting in devious ways from self-interest, steeped in bile and bitterness and willing to do anything to assauge their own egos and satisfy their wants. They tell any lie in pursuit of “their truth”, justify force to create “justice”, and rob Peter to pay Paul after Paul has paid him or her. If they cannot see their own corruption, how can they begin to correct the corruption of others? Yet they continue on in their vision of their own incorruptibility and virtue.

Is the article fair and balanced, or does it show Obama in a mostly negative or mostly positive light?

That bumper sticker only lets the world know that person whose car it’s on is an idiot.
To: gridlock
I've seen this stupid bumper sticker on several cars in my area. One car has the "COEXIST" one on the left and a "BLESSED BE" bumper sticker on the right.
I want to scream .... "Blessed be WHAT ??????"

I think the “Blessed be...” is a witchcraft thing, if I am not mistaken.
Either that or it is a reference to the Beatitudes.

We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness...." Gee Barry it's pretty simple, Islamo-facsist terrorists want to kill us not because of poverty or our lack of empathy with them, but because they see it as God's will to convert the whole world to Islam by what ever means necessary.

I haven't been paying attention for the past month and don't plan to pay any attention to this joke of an election] Then why on earth should we pay attention to ANYTHING you say? By the way, if you believe that an Obama win would build up the conservative party, I want what you're smoking.

The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. Oh, Brother! They are anything but "numb" to the suffering of their victims. They have very strong and definite feelings in recognition of and response to that suffering. They feel, alright; they feel JOY.
How utterly clueless does B.H.O. have to be to not get this, when our enemy has repeatedly, explicitly and emphatically explained it to us?! Even were this not the case, one only need look at the jihadist propaganda videos of beheadings, bombings, etc, to witness the unbridled joyous abandon in the faces and voices of our enemy.

Most terrorists are middle-class to well off; they are educated; the British bombers were doctors; they are not full of despair. They are full of Islam. Precisely so, and very well-put.

You're not mistaken. It's a Wiccan motto.

"hes supposedly a big name in the field of Education."
He is a propagandist who teaches kids to hate their country. His body of work is rubbish. He is also a coward for letting his girlfriend die while making bombs for the Weather Underground back in the early 1970s.
As for Ayers' wife, Bernadine Dorhn, she could become the U.S. Attorney General. Who cares that she has been disbarred? Who cares that she is a terrorist? The City and Mayor of Chicago don't seem to.
