Perhaps we could send card to one trusted individual who could then forward them to the appropriate person.
Doug from Upland did this with Christmas cards for the troops several years in a row.
thanks B ...
You are welcome, sofa.
Knowing how much Tony was loved has just got to be a comfort to Jill and the children.
Thank you!
Thank you, Bahbah!
I would rather send mine to Britt Hume c/o Fox News
I do hope that Jill & the kids will find some small comfort in knowing the esteem in which he was held by millions, I dare say.
Thank you.
Thanks for the ping and informantion. I will send a card out tomorrow.
Thanks for the ping, Bahbah. Thanks for posting, kristinn.
I sent a card to Mrs. Snow and family in care of the Fox News Channel in Washington. I hope it gets to her. Thanks for this info.
Thanks for posting these.
My goodness, what an incredible man. Not a nasty bone in his body.
Anyone familiar with his career would have known that anyway, but these posts are another example of what a decent, kind and humble man he was.
I’ve shed a few tears over this man I have never met and I’m not ashamed to say so. Quite indicative of the effect he could have on people, even through a TV screen or radio broadcast.
Oh thank you so much for the ping!
My card will go out tomorrow AM. I wrote a letter to Jill about how I first read Tony in the Detroit News, listened when he subbed for Rush and when he sparred with Susan Estrich on AOL’s “The Great Debate.” That was SO much fun.
I also sent a copy of the email many of us here received from Tony last August. I didn’t know if she had a copy, but I kept it as a reminder to pray for him and his family.
He is so missed already...
Would you post that email? I’m sure several of us would like to see it.
The world has lost a true gentle man; a real gentleman.
Thank you.
What do you think about all of us contributing to a large floral tribute from FR?
Here it is, dated August 10, 2007:
THE WHITE HOUSE
Washington
Thanks so much for the kind note - and for including me in your thoughts
and prayers.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you thinking of me and raising my
name in prayer. Prayers have enormous power. They’re good medicine - and
they certainly have lifted my spirits. I feel as if I have been borne on
the shoulders of thousands of friends, all of whom have made the ride
easier than I ever could have imagined.
We’re blessed to live in a land where people just want an excuse to do
something good for someone else. Thanks for taking advantage of that
opportunity with me. Please encourage others to do it closer to home for
other friends in need. Kind words, notes, emails, and small gestures
have a way of lightening the load, while making our own lives richer and
more rewarding.
Again, thanks for the incredible gift of caring.
God bless,
TONY SNOW
Thank you, Kieri.
That is a beautiful message from Tony Snow. He was such a kind, caring person.
I hate cancer; it takes too many too early.
