Gore stayed at his house while campaigning in 2000. He was also a Gore delegate at the 2000 DNC.

"Gore stayed at his house while campaigning in 2000. He was also a Gore delegate at the 2000 DNC."

From Wikipedia,

"During the 1992 presidential campaign, Phelps protested Hillary Rodham Clinton during a campaign speech in support of the Clinton-Gore ticket at the University of Kansas on October 14, 1992.

In Bill Clinton's second presidential campaign, Phelps and the Westboro church also opposed Clinton and Gore because of the administration's support for gay rights.

The entire Westboro congregation picketed a 1997 inaugural ball,[47] denouncing Gore as a "famous fag pimp."

[48] In 1998, Westboro picketed the funeral of Gore's father, screaming vulgarities at Gore and telling him, "your dad's in Hell."[48]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps From Conservapedia,

"Phelps has since changed his opinion about Gore when he joined Bill Clinton on the 1992 presidential ticket. Phelps turned on him and claimed Gore was a conservative icon of the Democratic Party that sold out on some critical social issues. Phelps also demonstrated against Clinton and Gore during the 1997 inaugural." [5] [6]

Thank you for that interesting tidbit. I will file it away for use in a later debate.

You're wrong in that. In fact your whole timeline is a bit off. The Gore connection dates from the 80's, but Phelps and crew wrote Gore off after 1988 when he refused to condemn homosexuals. The protested Hillary during the 1992 campaign and picketed Gore, Seniors funeral in 1998.
