I’VE DOCTORED THIS (BIGGER EAR, NO MAGAZINE TITLE) TO MAKE A HIGH-RES JPEG SCREENSAVER. HOW DO I POST A PICTURE HERE?

You need to host it online somewhere. Then, while viewing the hosted photo in your browser, right-click the photo and select "properties".

Then copy the "location" and paste it in the "Your Reply" box (where you type your post). The location code will look similar to this:

Then type <img src=" before the pasted text and "> after the text so that it looks like this:

<img src="http://b9.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/01547/96/74/1547164769_l.jpg">

The photo will then appear on the web page like this:
