I am going over the the thread again to catch up on the last 500 posts I have missed.
Agreed. Tony Snow showed, by example, how we all need to celebrate each day we have.
Sitting here thinking, I do not remember ever seeing Tony down on anyone or overly upset.
I am certain that the VP is doing a great job paying tribute to Tony Snow I will look forward to seeing it tonight when FNC run the show.
Good news yesterday that the Vice President got the all clear during his check-up especially on the irregular heart beat. My father has suffered from this and the first time it jumped out again though this time it seems to have worked.
Be careful about mentioning anything like “fixed” around Jesse Jackson hahahahaha
Maybe Colmes does it for effect, like a professional wrestler. But Bechel? Every time I see him, regardless of the venue, he comes across as a pompous, arrogant blowhard with an extemely partisan position. If he was putting on a show, he’d slip up every now and then.
In my view this represents exactly why the left is so miserable and hate filled. In the end all they have is themselves, their unhappiness and a future full of an unending emptiness.
Who wouldn't be unhappy with having to face that?
Ha! That is sooooo good!
I came on here to post about Brit Hume’s comments about Tony’s faith and that Brit and Tony and some others evidently meet with a minister in the DC area - I think he said his last name was “Leachman”? Brit said that this minister’s help to Tony and his faith in Jesus Christ meant a great deal to Tony - because Tony was hungry for more of Christ.
I didn’t know about Brit and Tony and other meeting with a Christian minister regularly. This man evidently is a former football player - played for Bear Bryant... Good to know.
Good point!
This morning, while talking to the F&F panel, the master wordsmith, Rush, took the opportunity to use the word “whine” relating to liberal baby-boomers. I bet he will use that word in every show for the next few weeks.
I believe he quite often used to defend Beckel with many conservatives on his radio show and used to point out that he considered him a friend.
I think Tony was one of those rare creatures who could have friendships with people who both politically and morally he would not agree with and somehow it did not taint him or cause him to be dragged to their level. He was the perfect example of being saved by grace and protected by his Saviour.
Many of us are not strong enough characters or have a strong enough faith to do what Tony could and God is gracious with us and does not expect us to. Tony was given this gift by God IMHO and used it for good and was protected by God because he did not abuse this and use it as an excuse to enjoy the fruits of flesh.
What was tony’s screen name?
I believe it was Tony Snow
He admitted that he was a heavy drinker then and showed up for the show one time w/a heavy hangover...told Tony that he didn't think he could get through the show.
Tony said, "That's ok...I'll write your speech for you." And Tony DID, complete w/all the dem talking points and arguments, according to Beckel!!!
About 15 minutes later, Obama tried to smooth things over with a joke of his own.
“We can’t afford to be divided by race. We can’t afford to be divided by region or by class and we can’t afford to be divided by gender, which by the way, that means, Bernie, you’ve got to clean up your act next time,” Obama said. “This is a family affair. By the way, I’m just messing with you, man.”
LOL
Beckel and Colmes nauseate me to the max....regardless of anything else anyone says about them.
I know of no true conservative leader who does this.
Yet liberals tell me they go insane almost when they listen to either our President or our Vice President speak....
We need a research grant....let’s compare the visceral effects of seeing, listening to, watching liberals / conservatives - on different “politically persuaded” American citizens...
I am in no way a feminist but realise that sometimes because of our nature us women do have to be ultra careful we do not get emotional at certain times.
Amen
