I was so sad when I posted this news this morning. Now we've been comforted, inspired, made to laugh, cried, gathered together. Tony Snow would like that.

I went to the funeral of Senator Helms this week. Another giant gone from us.
Heaven is likely witnessing quite a reunion this week of those two men, among others who were admired and helped by them, these two especially who stood for freedom and truth and liberty and compassion and kindness and for God in their lives with their families and on behalf of their country!
May God by His grace send us more “lights” to this nation at our time of need. Some bright ones have left us with heavy hearts this week....we are cast down but not in despair!
Our ultimate hope, as was Tony’s, as was Jesse Helms’, is in our God! He will not fail us nor forsake us...Nor those whom these great but humble men left behind.
