Underscoring the importance of the Hispanic vote, the McCain campaign is going on the air with a new ad that makes a specific appeal to the rapidly growing demographic.
In the one-minute television spot, entitled Gods Children, Mr. McCain refers to the military service of Hispanics in wars, past and present. He asks Americans to remember that these are Gods children. They must come into our country legally, but they have enriched our culture and our nation as every generation of immigrants before them."
The ad, which will appear in Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, features scenes of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. Mr. McCain notes that youll see a whole lot of Hispanic names carved in the memorials black granite.

I do not have a problem with a McCain Ad that Reaches Out to Hispanics. They are the Fastest growing voter block in the country and if the GOP does not reach out to them, the Democrats will and if they win this demographic you can kiss off 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024, etc. BUT McCain and the GOP Must Not Bend Party principles in doing so. Border Security must be a top priority. Stiffer controls are needed for legal immigration, and illegal immigration must not be tolerated.

generation of immigrants
Again McCain misses the crux of the problem.
The problem is NOT immigrants. [By definition, they come here LEGALLY.]
The problem IS with ILLEGAL immigration. [By definition, they come here ILLEGALLY.]
McCain seems to be too inept to be able to distinguish the difference.

"remember that these are God's Children"
Oh I remember Senator McAmnesty - every time I look at the Registered Sex Offender Lists, the Ten Most Wanted Lists, or who killed whom in a DWI crash at 2:00 am I 'remember' them. But I don't think GOD would approve of them so you better leave Him out of it.
And by the way, isn't calling them children a tad degrading, condescending and patronizing , huh Juan? That's how slave owners thought isn't it? ... the slaves were ignorant children who needed looking after. Maybe you should rethink using this 'cute' little catch phrase.

McLame is trying to confuse the issues.
There’s plenty of good Americans with last names of Martinez, Gomez, etc., and first names of Juan, Carlos, Maria and others. Anybody who has a problem with that is an idiot.
But there’s also oodles of parasites flocking here from other countries “yearning to eat free”, mobbing the emergency rooms, and refusing to learn English.
The two ain’t the same, McLame.

Congress (House and Senate) does not vote on whether or not people are “God’s Children”.
They vote yes or on on laws defining who should be in the country and by what process.
They have already voted. They passed laws. We have a border.
They have been negligent on enforcement of border laws. Period.
