From what I've heard, we've got more oil available to us from the oil shale out in our western states than they've ever found in the mid-east. It's not economical to process unless oil is over $40.00 a barrel.

Course now the green weanies are keeping all that natural resource at bay.

Not true. It has been done in other part of the world for decades. Look to Brazil and Estonia for long term projects.
