AUSTIN, Texas: Former presidential aide Karen Hughes is joining the public relations firm Burson-Marsteller as global vice chairwoman, the company said Wednesday.
Hughes, who was an aide to George W. Bush in the White House and when he was Texas governor, will report to Mark Penn, the Burson-Marsteller worldwide president and chief executive who was chief strategist for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign.
"Karen is one of the leading communications strategists working today," Penn said. "She brings enormous strategic insights coupled with the ability to drive successful campaigns at the highest levels of the political, governmental and corporate arenas."

So much for her reason for leaving the White House as “...to spend more time with my family...” Follow the money.

Is there a way we can find to blame Bush for this?

No, not Bush.
But the S&M orgy that is the relationship between the Democrats and Republicans literally nauseates me when I think about the future we are handing to our children.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign.I'm not sure that I would want that on my resume, or that I would want to work for the person who is responsible for converting the "smartest woman in America's" guaranteed coronation into a solid, undeniable defeat and repudiation of her. Hughes may have jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

Really not a big deal. PR/public affairs firms always try to have staff with backgrounds on both sides of the aisle. It doubles their opportunities for business.

No surprise here considering bush1 and bush2 were/are more liberal than conservative. I'll give bush2 credit for tax cuts, solid Supreme noms (albeit the harriet myers fiasco) and his good (not great) response on GWOT.
However, his open borders/no borders, signing mccain-feingold, insane liberal spending spree to grow fed government at expense of individual freedom/states rights has led us to the demise of Reagan conservatism - mccain simply continues the RINO leadership in repub party.
Sigh.

I think what this says is that Karen believes Hillary will win the nomination. And Karen is no dummy. And look at what’s happened to Obama these past few weeks. He’s majorly p!ssed off his own base.

the S&M orgy that is the relationship between the Democrats and Republicans
It is amazing how many of the opposition end up working together after they leave their government jobs. The most flagrant example being the Matalin/Carville union.
The 2 major political parties are more like the current NFL -- 2 former separate entities that have merged in to a single organization with 2 conferences -- that effectively hoodwink the public.

Basically we have one party. We now have two Soros candidates built up by the media. McCain is actually loony tunes, just saw him lying about his record on veteran issues. Obama’s mistakes get swept under the rug.

>>>>>>>>...........................
Those GOP and Demorat faithful are the biggest dupes I call them the “good party men “much like Stalin had in the USSR.
so many examples of the close ties between both parties..
anyone remember Marc Rich, who hired Scooter Libby, who then was Chaney's chief of staff..Bush jumping into bed with Kennedy on Education bill and open borders , Sandy Berger let off and now eligible for high level security positions in 2009,a man murdered and dumped in a park in dc who just happened to be on whitehouse staff,,and nothing is done.on and on
when will the voters wake up?
Folks we have overlords who play a part to get elected with an R or a D behind their names ,, but controlled and owned by those I call the shadow government. The whole government at this point is a run and directed in the dark by those who have the Power and $$.. we no longer have a republic..just ask the Supreme court who owns your private property.
