Rev. Jackson Trash Talks Obama

REV. JESSE JACKSON APOLOGIZES TO OBAMA FOR 'CRUDE AND HURTFUL COMMENTS' CAUGHT ON TAPE... FOXNEWS WILL PLAY IN ENTIRETY TONIGHT ON 'O'REILLY' 8 PM ET... OBAMA: NO COMMENT... DEVELOPING...

Statement: For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama_s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.

_My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility.

_That was the context of my private conversation and it does not reflect any disparagement on my part for the historic event in which we are involved or my pride in Senator Barack Obama, who is leading it, whom I have supported by crisscrossing this nation in every level of media and audience from the beginning in absolute terms._

If it wasn't for FOX News this would just be a whisper in some newsrooms.

That darn Faux News is causing trouble again.

I can't remember where I heard it, probably Hugh Hewitt's radio program, but someone the other day was playing excerpts from a recent black forum Jesse Jackson was hosting. These people would be perfectly happy if all the black men in jail were just released and were able to vote. They were also talking about all the disenfranchisement that happened during the 2000 election--getting the excuses and blame ready should Obama lose come November.

The whole lot of them are pure TRASH! I am also very sick and tired of their “that’s racist” reaction to any slight to obama.

Taking the (described) comments literally, shouldn’t Jackson be charged with making a threat of physical violence directed at a presidential candidate? Shouldn’t the Secret Service be investigating this as a crime?

This event is just a contrivance, a “Sistah Souljah” moment in the making for Obama. See? Obama does his little Bill-Cosby-”poundcake”-speech awhile back (and it largely got ignored, as puffery);

then Jesse blasts Obama for doing so, weeks afterwards;

then Obama gets to bask in the renewed, Cosby-esque glow.

I’m not buying it.

That good enough for me . Zero tolerance , the Secret Service should at least scuff him up a little .

You see, Jesse’s stealin and cheatin were the result of the need for “collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action”, because that need, according to Jackson “led to [his] irresponsibility”. He cannot be blamed because he is a victim, don’t you see?
