Another poster mentioned the African antecedents of the name Malia (positing it might have been a reference to the Kingdom of Mali).
I agree that this is not something to use against Obama, and it's not being used against him; this is just a discussion, not part of a campaign. God forbid a child should be involved in a political campaign. The discussion is probably just an expression of frustration over The Obamessiah's advent, and also with the tendency s many black people have to get their kids wacky names, which (not in this case, of course) become a badge kids wear that says "I come from a poor background."
Better not slam her too hard.

Michelle made some comment. There is a you-tube that I can’t understand. Have you seen their little family being interviewed on TV?
Think it’s a 4 parter and Obama already regrets allowing his children to talk in the interview. I am not ‘up on it’ at all.

I saw part of the TV stuff with his wife and his kids
They did not come off as if their parents raised them to be very sharp or as speaking well for their ages
I think Obama was embarrassed and angry at the TV interviewers afterwards

I was working on something when it was on and I did see the daughter on the left speaking but couldn’t understand her so I have no idea what she said.

That was an excellent movie with Tom Hayden Church as co-star. They’re bringing cattle to a destination and save five Chinese women from men who are selling them to whore houses. Very good movie.

It proves so sadly the ignorance and utter weakness of many whites today in modern America. They have lost their respect for their own culture and their country. They wish to destroy it as atonement for something they did not do personally, which has been greatly exaggerated, and which ignores glaring truths folks would rather ignore than face about subcultures within our own and the repeated failures and utter collapse therein.
As a child of the 60s and adolescent of the 70s I never thought it would come to this. Folks like this were marginalized back then even if the hip media adored them?
