With all the Muzzies around, I’d feel safer with a weapon, too.

No problem, Ottbmare. Just confirmation of common sense at the expense of British tax dollars. :-)

How do "children" get access to "guns" in a nation where "gun" ownership is illegal?
Not even the police are allowed to carry "guns" in the UK.

Only the “tourist police” the bobbies don’t openly carry weapons. Some carry concealed. The rest of the police are armed.
I know I always feel more secure when armed.

the funniest thing i’ve seen in recent memory was an AP photo of a london cop doing crowd control. he was wearing a solid-looking kevlar vest but carried no visible weapon of any kind, not even a baton. made you wonder if he was issued that based on him being a danger to himself.

If British children (and we have to ask what is meant by children) are afraid of being bullied (by whom?) and don't feel safe in their own public areas, it sounds as if government has been negligent and failed badly in its responsibilities. All in the name of political correctness.

That is an excellent question, but neither I nor the author of the article (apparently) have the answer.
