A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.
County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.
Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.
Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."
That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.
Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster's, is perhaps "the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape."

In engineering, back in the 80’s, a communication protocol in which one device controls one or more other devices was known as a master/slave system. This was the standard phrase used since the beginning of communication technology.
In the late 80’s, the PC crowd must have stumbled on a technical manual and (shockingly) read it.
Now the term ‘master/slave’ cannot be used. Instead you must use primary/secondary.
What is really stupid about all of this is that historically there has never been an ethnic norm for which race is the master and which is the slave.

I cant understand why anyone would hesitate to hire diverse candidates. Especially if you like working in a mine field.

Black Ice....this will shut up a lot of weather readers
When the guy (white) used the term niggardly in DC he just proved he was to intelligent for his own good.
By that I mean if I went to my Black (Asphalt) laborers and told them the boss was niggardly and wouldn’t give them a raise I would be in deep kimchi....
Saying the cheap ass White Muvva weren’t comin off no mo jack would have been understood perfectly.
It all depends on your audience but when Judges don’t understand the language, we have begun to swiftly deteriorate.

They are all dumb enough to join in!

Evidently, John Wiley Price is sufficiently ignorant that he doesnt know what a black hole is. Since that appears to be the case, I say we just let him exist in his own little stupid world.
Better yet, why don't we introduce him to one personally. ;)

Two more grotesque idiots - color notwithstanding.

I think they need to call in Don Imus to mediate this dispute. We need clarity.
