A single-digit approval rating for Congress is richly deserved, though I suspect many people are angry for the wrong reasons.

Its easy enough to nationalize a congressional campaign. Its been done before and was the reason behind the GOP success in 94. Run against the Washington establishment Again, you are talking about an established group, "GOP success" in your earlier post you were saying "third party" and not running as a dem or rep.
As a percentage there aren't that many independents or third party members of congress.
If you have personal wealth and/or great name recognition you may succede but with out established organizational support it would be a lot more difficult.

*******We need to keep getting the word out that the idiots who elected a democrat congress got exactly what they wanted....including the $4.00+ gallon of gas.*******

Agreed that it is not easy at all. However, from what I have seen this is the best opportunity for third party candidates in many years.
I see Congress at single digits, a lackluster GOP Presidential candidate following a lackluster Presidency, high gas prices, high food prices, the Paul phenomenom, and other events making this a far better landscape for third party candidates than there was in the past.

People want oil and other energy, and I just read Lautenberg, Menendez, and Corzine want to make the off shore drilling ban permanent! For the entire East Coast! I hate these people and they deserve hate.

These people need prayer and America needs prayer. We are to pray for our leaders, those in government, whether they are good or evil. In some cases that prayer is to be accompanied by fasting. And effective prayer doesn’t stay on its knees 24/7, it gets up and gets out in the neighborhood, to its Jerusalem, Judea, and then Samaria...it blooms where it’s planted and puts first and primary emphasis there.
And effective prayer will prompt to faithful stewardship in supporting good merchants and political candidates.

If I were running for Congress the last thing I would want to do is run as a Dem or Rep.You'd get beat because most people vote one or the other...and NOT for what the candidate stands for.

DUMP THE DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS.
They’ve done NOTHING to lower the price of gas.
They’ve done NOTHING to increase our supply of energy.
They’ve done NOTHING to help improve the economy.
To: library user
Can't believe that 48% still believe that the GOP still controls Congress. I guess the large majority of those who do are really Dummycrats.

These are all Limousine Liberals. They don't put the gas in their cars.

My congressman is a Republican. (shocking from NJ, right?)
Unfortunately the rest of my state voted libs in office as usual, and I am paying for their liberal idiocy.

Pelosi and Reid are doing a great job in congress and lowering our gas prices.

It seems the Red Queen and Alice have the right of it. When up is down, right is left, and black is white, off with their heads.
It appears we in fact have a “Star Chamber”, it is MSM, Hollyweird, and the Academia. Ms. Rand got it right in “Fountain Head”.

*******Recently Ive been asking store clerks who runs D.C., Dems or repubs. I am astounded. Many cant even name the V.P. but they hate Bush but cant state why or state why we are in Iraq or what the threat from Iran is. My gawd, be afraid...be very afraid....these people vote and will probably vote for nObama.*******
*******I wonder how the Leftist Media are going to spin this as good for Obama and bad for McCain.*******
Read the note above offered by another Freeper. Your wonder is answered below:
The Leftist Media can spin anything, because the voters generally are already brain dead.
