I wonder when wages will rise, in order to reflect the increased cost in obtaining these products?

farmers and consumers should pay extra for farm goods that generate large amounts of greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide

The world has truly gone MAD!

...a Government study has concluded.

Any time I see this phrase in an article, I stop reading.

Journalists have about the lowest comprehension of the sciences of any group I can think of....that's why they went into journalism in the first place.

This is why they will grasp any ridiculous idea and run with it if it fits their world view.

These are the people who flunked or barely squeezed through the minimal math and science courses they needed for graduation.

We had a local TV news air-head that tried to prove that calcium supplement tablets made primarily from dolomite could not dissolve in the human stomach and set out to demonstrate this by placing one of the tablets in a glass of water and sure enough it didn't dissolve.

I asked her if she thought that the digestive fluids in the human stomach were the same as the water in her glass and she said "yes".

She apparently was out sick the day they discussed pepsin and it's hydrochloric acid content in science class.

If dolomite and other forms of limestone were totally water soluble, a lot of driveways would start disappearing.

Add to the higher prices for food new carbon taxes and the standard of living will move back to about 1930 levels. Of course Al Gore and the Hollywood “environmentalists” will still live their lavish life styles while chiding the rest of us for not doing enough to save the planet from global warming.

These folks have managed to find a way to completely remove natural variables like el Nino, la Nina, ENSO, etc., from global warming calculations.

The Department for Business and Enterprise’s new renewable energy strategy warned last month that household electricity bills could rise by 13 per cent and gas by 37 per cent to subsidise green energy sources, and ministers remain under pressure to raise road taxes in an effort to cut emissions.
