You know that old adage use it or lose it?
The saying can now be applied toward men and sex, according to new research involving erectile dysfunction, Reuters reported Monday.
The July issue of the American Journal of Medicine reports that older men who have sex more than once a week are less likely to develop ED.

I’m a woman, 40’s, married with 4 kids :)
However, I admit that in the 90s when I was busy having babies, breastfeeding, basically just raising our kids that I lost some interest in sexual intimacy or sex. I looked and felt like crap most of the time :) So during the 90s when I was mostly pregnant or nursing or covered in spit up or dirt, I really wasn’t as into it as much. Half the time all I wanted to do was get some uninterrupted sleep.
I got it all back once the kids were more independent and not attached to my boobs or hips, etc. Although, my husband always made me feel desirable even covered in spit up or baby food.
I like sex and the intimacy that goes with it. Life is busy and sometimes just a look or touch of hand during a party or whatever is a “later, we’ll act on this” type of thing, even quickly.
I hear stuff sometimes from female friends, married (and some not), that their husbands are all about the sex and how they’re not interested. Usually I keep my mouth shut because I’m interested and enjoy sex, even spur of the moment, quick sex. I couldn’t be out there dating today. It seems far more complicated than when I was single back in the 80s.
LOL! Your line was funny :) Guess it really is that hard ;)
I’m way out of my league with some of you.
I’m all for romance. But sometimes there just isn’t time. Sometimes, romance isn’t needed (most of the time it isn’t needed but could make it better, imo, as long as all the important feelings are there).
I was causing the problems back when we had babies. I looked like crap, in my mind (and any mind except my husband’s), covered in spit up or pureed carrots or whatever icky thing they ate or breastfeeding every hour. Then dealing with toddlers or pre school age kids on top of it. He’d come home from work and I just couldn’t imagine he found me attractive. It was nightime before I had a chance to shower for goodness sake, lol.
It’s hard living with anyone, imo. I’m not the easiest person to live with for sure. Humor goes a long way, imo.
I learned that it’s ok and feels just as good and means just as much regardless of all the incidentals. Romance is fine and great but can’t always have that kind of time.
See! It’s True!
You tell ‘em Ginger!
Even during the period?! EEEWWWW!!!
LOL
Funny thread!
I told you so!
A laugh a minute!
Well, you're a better person than I because I am passing judgment. If her husband would have known she'd cut him off after marriage there wouldn't have been a marriage. And she'll be shocked, outraged, and hurt when he gets a honey on the side.
I really enjoyed reading these posts..
I adore my husband..we just celebrated our 25th anniversary!
He’s all I ever wanted..
He still makes my heart go pitter-patter after all these years!
;0)
Well, yeah. It’s really not that bad. :) I figure if it doesn’t matter to him...
I know MS.B, A little levity never hurt anyone either!
Even if the subject is as serious as sex!
The sex threads are hilarious. I really enjoy them.
I learn tons :)
LOL!
I just love it when you get on one! You make them so interesting!
I agree. And I don’t think of sex as submitting as it’s fun for me too. I really don’t get the whole submitting thing, like it’s a chore.
LOL! ;)
Interesting in a good way, right?
It's been so long since I had sex I can't remember who gets tied up first.
I can also remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.
Hell Yes!
You make me think!
Read and heed!
LOL!
