Good for them!!!! A lot of people gave me grief when I recently got rid of my V4 Sentra for a V8 Explorer.

Why did I do it? Because I got a great deal on it and I've always wanted an SUV. Yes, my BB (beautiful beast) likes to eat gas much more than my Sentra, but I don't care.

I don't have a lot of splurges in life and my SUV was one I wanted for a long time.

I LOVE my beast and couldn't be happier!!!!

The price of SUVs are dropping, I’m hoping to pick one up soon also. Good luck.

SUV prices are really low right now. I just bought nice used one for 20% under blue book. It’s nice to have four wheel drive and space for stuff.

Economy cars were selling for a premium that blew the gas savings out of the water. There was a $750/year difference in gas costs and a $5k difference in price. I’m only planning on driving the SUV for 5 years, so the SUV should have a lower cost of ownership.
