Since when has the DNC or Chicago ever shown any interest in determining the eligibility of one of their candidates to do anything beyond getting elected?

Clearly - the DNC is not the "opposition"..
It is a very recent event - that bloggers have questioned the authenticity of the Birth Certificated posted.

Now that he has been put forth as the likely candidate - ANYONE can challenge his eligibility.
If Obama can't provide legitimate proof of his citizenship -- his opponents should demand the DNC deny him the nomination. Remember - he hasn't YET been nominated.

If in the unlikely case that Obama is not a citizen, and allowed the situation to spin out of control merely to pursue his ambitions --- then Obama is responsible.

Others are NOT required to produce documents... OBAMA is required to produce proof of his being a natural born citizen.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but there has been a low level Civil War in America for decades..
If an Obama lie throws it into full scale - who is to blame?

Obama has been a serious candidate for many months. He has been a public official for years. It's the responsibility of all sorts of government and non-government agencies to make sure that something like this doesn't happen. It's not solely that of the DNC. Certainly the FBI has looked at his birth certificate many times. Bloggers are not going to find anything they couldn't.

So what will happen - if anything does - is that someone will produce some new documents or witnesses or experts which they'll claim prove the official birth certificate is a fraud.

Since the founding of the country. And that's the situation not just in this country but in every country. The genius of our system is that it has remained at a low level for all this time - except once, when it proved unable to handle the issue of race.
