Errr...
OMA!
ask the district to teach the muslim students all about a catholic or protestant service and pray to Jesus & God, and see what happens.
Ping!
bump
Heads would roll, literally.
If a teacher forced my kids to do muslim prayers, I'd be at that teacher's home that night and the teacher would be doing prayers.
sarc/off
I’ve seen muslims doing prayer like that guy on the left. Always felt like going up to them and saying “that’s where I saw a dog take a crap earlier”.
As follows:
I bet there were a few Christian teachers in this British school. So?.....????
What about Christian teachers, in Britain, and throughout the world, who are unable or unwilling to stand for what is **obviously** right? There is plenty being taught in government and private secular schools that is **obviously** in utter and complete conflict with Christianity.
What lessons are these Christian teachers teaching the students about Christianity?
Answer:
* That a paycheck is more important to a Christian than standing firm for what is **obviously** right.
* That Christian teachers are hypocrites for, promoting, and assisting a school with ideas and principles that are **obviously** god-less or pagan in their worlview and in utter contradiction to their beliefs.
* That Christian teachers who attempt to slyly sneak in some Christianity into their lesson plans, teach the students that Christians are sneaky and sly.
So? ...Is this helping the cause of Christianity? **I DON'T THINK SO! Instead they are teaching the students ( by their example) that Christians are greedy, hypocritical, sly, and sneaking.
Who in their right mind would join a religion like that?
To All:
The above is **entirely** about schools and education in **general**, throughout the world, and Christian teachers ( generally throughout the world) teaching in god-less Secular Humanist schools (throughout the world). It is **NOT** directed at anyone here on Free Republic.
As I see it, this is a philosophic conundrum that is universal and should be examined.
Can you imagine handing out a Book of Mormon in the Bible belt?
Well why send them there?
I live in the Bible belt and Mormans have no trouble handing out book of Mormon. I told them I would prefer a King James Bible and they gave me one for free.
Here’s the reverse scenario.
“Here is how you perform a cross. Here is how you do a rosary. Here is our practice baptism. Girls, take off your hijab. Boys, take off your turbans. Hey, Mohammed, if you don’t do this, you get detention!”
“Can you imagine handing out a Book of Mormon in the Bible belt?”
Happens more than you think and no threats of death to go with it.
As for this:
“The above is **entirely** about schools and education in **general**, throughout the world, and Christian teachers ( generally throughout the world) teaching in god-less Secular Humanist schools (throughout the world). It is **NOT** directed at anyone here on Free Republic.”
Your “disclaimer” is as smarmy as your insult. Teachers belong to FR too.
