Video: Code Pink Stalker Rushing Stage at President Bush Speech at Monticello 7/04/08

Members of the terrorist-supporting group Code Pink repeatedly heckled President Bush's speech at a naturalization ceremony for new American citizens this morning at Monticello, the home of Declaration of Independence author, Thomas Jefferson.

Code Pinko Desiree Farooz, infamous for getting in the face of Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice at a House hearing last fall in a stunning breakdown of security, rushed the stage where President Bush was speaking. Taking advantage of distractive actions being taken by other Code Pinkos, Farooz was able to get past the front row and turn toward the stage before she was intercepted by security.

It appears that she was able to get close enough to the stage that if she had explosives secreted on her person she could have done the unspeakable.

You Tube video here. The 42 second video was posted by David Swanson, moonbat extraordinaire, of AfterDowningStreet.org. Sadly, Swanson claims to be a graduate of Thomas Jefferson's University of Virginia.

Local news reports the protesters were ejected from the grounds after their outbursts, but that no one was arrested.

The Secret Service needs to explain why Code Pinkos keep getting close to their protectees. Last weekend Farooz got close to John McCain when she rushed the stage at a speech he was giving in Washington, D.C.

Of course, Barack Obama has nothing to fear from Code Pink, they're funding him.

On this Fourth of July it is extremely American and perfectly in line with the founders — especially Jefferson — that public dissent should be expressed in front of the President.

This makes it clear that he is not a king nor is he a dictator. And the freedoms of this nation have not been abrogated by recent decisions. Dissent is still possible, no matter how nasty or how ugly the dissenters are.

That’s what makes America the shining light to the nations. FREEDOM.

That was kind of my thought too. Once upon a time that behavior would have gotten you shot, in some nations still today it would.

But what if it were the other way around and I dissagreed extremely with the President (can you say President Obama-ah, I need to go wash my hands after typing that) and I want the right to yell at him too.

But I wouldn’t do it at naturalization ceremony, that’s just rude.

As she was screaming, she looked around and realized she was alone and folded up her pinko banner and sat down.

People were yelling at her to "shut up and sit down!"

I can’t believe they have been allowed to get so close to the President and other officials! They aren’t about anti war at all they are about getting attention for themselves.

like a dog chasing a car, what did she plan on doing when she got there???

For that reason and that reason alone she should have been shot on the spot. Suppose she had a knife, gun, or an explosive device. This is borderline stupidity.

Wow! What’s the saying?

First time, shame on you.
Second time, shame on me.

Secret Service heads need to roll here.

And all Code Pink participants should be in custody right now.

I wanted to go back to the article you posted about BO and the Code Ps fund raiser for him and words that were exchanged.

It is very important IMO to get that out there over the constant barrage of insignificant BO stuff.

Can you please post a link to that thread here.

Yeah What is up with that?

It struck me as an odd event to chose to make an ass of oneself too.

rushed the stage where President Bush was speaking.

#1... this is probably the stupidest thing you can EVER do... The Secret Service could have shot you.

2nd of all... since the Secret Service didn't "vet" or have control of the crowd... I can see all these Muslim terrorists taking down notes how to throw suicide bombers at President Bush. Not good at all...

I think there are less than a dozen Code Pink professional disruptors. Capitol police I am positive are familiar with all of them and probably know them by name.

If Nancy Pelosi’s office or Harry Reid's office wanted to prevent the routine disruptions of Congressional hearings they could simply order the capitol police to not let them into the public seating area at these hearings.

The fact that they do not is a strong indication that they want the disruptions and I believe members of their staffs or some of the left wing congress peoples staffs actively coordinate the disruptions with Code Pink.

Virtually every C-Span broadcast I have seen of Congressional hearings concerning any matter of interest to the anti-war treasonous left has been disrupted at some point. Last week I watched one chaired by Biden where a protester in the front row was allowed to continue to hold a sign up, right next to the head of the person testifying. At one point the “gracious” Biden said “I don't mind you holding up the sign but please be courteous to those sitting behind you and don't block their view with your sign.
It is clear to me that the left has turned the corner in their march to fascism. Anyone expressing a political opinion the left opposes or anyone who the left dislikes who tries to speak in front of any public gathering will be shouted down, interrupted or heckled. This is not protest, this is not dissent; it is an attempt to suppress free speech.

For at least the last several months every John McCain speech, town hall or other event which has not restricted access to invited guests, has been disrupted. With rare exceptions the press gives free publicity to the disruptors.
I am not sure of the exact motive of, if it is to give the viewers the impression that the candidate is somehow divisive or that somehow the protesters are the real voice of America. In any case the interruptions, the disruption, blunts the message, destroys the positive atmosphere and ultimately works against the speaker.

Since I am sure that this will continue until the election. I expect Conservatives will lose their patience long before then. I fully expect retaliation. I am already seeing most of Obama’s events are closed to the general public. Thanks to the media's acceptance of liberal fascistic tactics I think we are seeing the end of open political speeches and public dialog.

From C-Ville:

SNIP

Though signs were listed among the prohibited items, Northern Virginia resident Gael Murphy and others sporting the signature pink t-shirts of feminist anti-war group Code Pink managed to unfurl pink textile signs reading "Impeach Bush." The President was 10 seconds into his speech, mentioning that he was "thrilled to be here at Monticello," when Murphy sprang from her seat, repeatedly shouting, "Defend the constitution, Impeach Bush!"

It was not an unanticipated moment and Bush said, "To my fellow citizens-to-be, we believe in free speech in the United States of America."

More protesters jumped up, shouting about the "police state" and "fascism." One simply said, "F*** you, George Bush."

Wayne Mogielnicki, Monticello's spokesman, said the plan of action was to ask protesters to be quiet and sit back down. If they did not comply, then they would be asked to leave. Ultimately six got that request and they left without incident, perhaps to join the several dozen who were by the Monticello Visitor Center on Route 20 bearing signs and Uncle Sam outfits.

Who funds these people is my question. They’ll shout anything for a dollar. Who is paying them?

I was sadly not surprised to hear Bush utter the usual lame-brain response to the protestors--"We have free speech in this country."

The government also has a Constitutional duty to secure peace and domestic tranquility. These ceremonial gatherings would be a good place for the executive branch to start doing so.
