Formal approval has been granted for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual personnel in HM Armed Forces to march in No.1 uniform (RN/RAF) No. 2 uniform (Army)through Central London on 5th July 2008, as part of the annual Gay Pride event.
Whilst the Royal Navy has marched in uniform in previous years, Army and RAF personnel will also be marching in uniform for the first time this year.
A large number of personnel have already committed to attend.
Personnel will be considered to be on-duty for the uniformed element of the event.
RAF personnel who wish to attend in uniform are to form part of the RAF contingent which, in turn, will form part of the distinct, and policed, Public Services component of the Parade. This is important not only for security reasons but also to ensure that the presentational risks are mitigated
Unbelievable.
My dad flew 28 missions over Germany in a Lancaster during the Second World War. He is still with us, hale and hearty at age 87, but I am frankly afraid to even tell him about this, let alone ask his opinion.
Yeah. Uh-huh. Er...good luck with that.
Hey! Don’t forget the toilet paper and a HIV vacine in their mess kit..
The Red Cross has real problems with their poison blood...
“The Red Cross has real problems with their poison blood...”
That problem will soon be fixed. By removing the prohibition on their poison blood.
Is that their uniform? :/
Sure seems like the Military people will be over dressed doesn’t it. Perhaps they can just turn it into a big street ‘party’
This sounds like something out of a Monty Python skit. What a disgrace.
“Rum, buggery, and the lash.”
Let me guess...
The Queen’s Own?
If one of them ever crawls in my foxhole he’s dead.
