I really have so much more respect and awe of our founders—especially John Adams—since seeing the mini-series on HBO about him. These men sacrificed years of their lives.
It gives me a whole new appreciation for the Fourth of July.

If you liked the HBO special on Adams, you may enjoy one of the best books I've read, John Adams, by David McCullough. Amazingly both he and his long-time friend Thomas Jefferson died on the same day July 4, 1826. Providence watching over our country.
