'Inquirer' Sanctimony - A Rejoinder
The Bulletin ^ | 07/03/2008 | Michael P. Tremoglie

Posted on 07/03/2008 8:12:35 AM PDT by William Tell 2

The Philadelphia Inquirer's former editor, Chris Satullo, says we should not celebrate Independence Day because we sinned as a nation.

I respond to his arrogant holier-than-thou screed by pointing out his hypocrisy, among other things.

Well said Mr. Tremoglie. I wonder what sacrifices Chris Satullo is going to make on the 4th of July?

Only an idiot liberal would think of liberating two nations as sinning...especially around INDEPENDENCE day.

Excellent rebuttal.

I presume Satullo is staying home tomorrow with the shades and blinds drawn and mourning and weeping for the imprisoned psychopathic islamists at Guatanamo, most captured on the battlefields, who have been deterred from continuing with their plans to hijack bomb and murder Americans in the name of allah for the past 6 years.

Surely Satullo wouldn’t be going to the beach or the mountains, picnicking and watching fireworks....? Surely not?

I know Satullo. I wrote for him and criticized him regularly. One thing you can do is to send your comments to publisher@thebulletin.us or letters@thebulletin.us

I would love to be able to read the Bulletin’s “letters to the editor” section with several letters criticizing him. I would then cut them out mail them to Satullo along with a copy of the article.

There’s nothing liberal about these people. They’re fascists. “Liberal” is just another word they’ve hijacked and rendered meaningless.

Wonder if I went to his house and planted a US flag on his lawn would he file a “crime” report?

If I may be so bold as to suggest that you buy The Bulletin.
We are the counter or “equal time” or “balance” ( however you want to call it) to the Inquirer and Daily News in Philadelphia.

He lives in Rittenhouse Square - he has mentioned that in previous columns. I’m sure a nice little patriotic display in the Square would get his attention!

The comments at the end of the article are overwhelming against him. In fact, most sounded like they were written by Freepers.

Read them here...

The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.
John Adams

Proud of America and proud to be an American EVERY DAY of my adult life.
