Former Orange County Sheriff Michael S. Carona used racist and sexist language during secretly recorded conversations disclosed in court records this week, and also boasted that the benefits of public office included rubbing elbows with billionaires, drinking fine wine and getting "phenomenal" sex.

Carona uses the "n" word several times and discusses various sexual escapades as he talks to former Assistant Sheriff Don Haidl, who was wired and cooperating with federal authorities in a corruption investigation of Carona.

"I've met millionaires, billionaires, I've traveled on personal airplanes, and I never shook anybody down for any [expletive], so. . . . Well, Mr. Carona sounds like a fantastic former public servant.
He’s also a putz.

Haidl’s kid walked on a rape charge a few years ago. He and his buddies raped and voliated a drunk teenager at his house
I’ve heard rap singers have been recorded using the “n” word as well. Where’s the outrage? Double standard?
Yeah he raped a girl from Rancho Cucamonga. I the OC Sheriff’s department has been a debacle for years.
This guy sounds like a Democrat, but it being Orange County he might be Republican. Does anyone know?
Yeah he is a Republican. He is facing 105 years.
The guy is trial for taking bribes and witeness tampering. The transcripts of him telling assistant Sheriff to lie to the grandy jury, are just the icing on the cake.
John and Ken (KFI Los Angeles) has a great routine where they would act out the transcripts. They called it the Hour of Contaminating the Jury Pool. ;-)
It’s sick that a public official acts in this manner, he should lose his job - immediately.
At the same time, it seems they went to great lengths to nail this guy, I wish they’d spend the same amount of effort to prevent the horrific torture and brutal murder of college girls like Eve Carson. (Which I’m sure won’t be prosecuted as a hate crime.)
This kind of thing is rampant in government today. The corruption and scandal at all government levels should be alarming to every American.
Or just a potty-mouth?
I don’t think much more of Haidl for his part in this, basically turning in a friend. I wonder what’s in it for him?
Did ya see the covert cameras, audio recorders and anti-listening devises this guy had installed in his extravagant office?
These people holding these high government positions of power, clearly have forgotten who they are working for.

Most of the OC has as much class as a brothel. The majority of the women are realtors running around calling themselves OC royalty driving leased cars and looking for a sugar daddy or a sucker to squeeze 6% out of on a house sale/purchase.
The majority of men are all multiple divorced viagra addicts looking for the next trophy woman/realtor to schtupt.
How many of these kinds of people have I seen run under whichever party is the strongest in the area? Lots of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs change parties like underwear.
Run him out, jail him, put him in with the "population" that'll appreciate him the most! The country is in an utter, hopeless tailspin. Unreal. The arrogance of elected "authorities" is astounding.
