I actually liked Thompson a great deal and was extremely disappointed he played the race the way he did (gosh, I hope you weren’t consulting his campaign...). No, what's interesting is how the RINO Establishment was deliberately against him and so was the media that also deliberately ignored his campaign. He ran his campaign in an honorable way, perhaps the most honorable I've seen in years. He didn't debase himself by pandering to the worst elements, he was a giant in the debates, and he REFUSED to whore after the office like a bitch in a heat like *omney, Huckster and the other midgets (save Duncan Hunter) did. The 2008 GOP Presidential primary was a Fellinesque sideshow.
