Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and ductwork, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the “green” overhaul.

If he really did all those things why would his electricity consumption increase rather than decrease.

This guy is a total fraud and the issue of global warming is also a fraud. We need no more proof than to observe Gore's behavior. If he really believed what he spouts, he'd be cutting consumption. He's not and has no intention of doing so. Gore is a liar.

But none of this matters, because:

1. Al Gore is the Pope of the Church of Global Warming, so he’s entitled to his comforts.

2. He buys carbon credits based on his power use at his house, so that he can claim to be carbon neutral.

In the distant future, when aliens conduct a 'dig' of the remains of this planet, two things will perplex them: 1) this species actually knowingly aborted their young, and 2) sold one another "carbon credits" (after having dug deeper and found out that at the time of this species' progression known as the Spanish Inquisition actually 'sold' sins before and after they were committed - dispensation.)
