Hmmm....okay, I'm all in favor of going back to the rules of the “America they founded” Chris. I bet the “America they founded” would have never tolerated abortion on demand, would have tarred and feathered idiots like Wesley Clarke and Bubba Clintoon for even pretending to believe they were worthy to run for president, would have ensured gun rights remained individual, would have permitted prayers in school/public/etc., would have never permitted the ridiculous tax code that is in place today, would not have established welfare, and I could go on and on. I think the damage was done....... think about it: Obama just gave his “patriotism” speech, and what is everyone talking about? Wesley Clark. LOL!

This is one of those things that can be handled by the American people without McCain needing to lift a finger. However, I see your point. It would have been better for McCain to either blast him or say nothing at all when asked about it: “I’m not going to get into the mud with the Obama campaign” would have been better than the response he gave. IMO
