I LOVE it! I hope the Left keeps up the delusion this is a center-left country. If they can get Obama to run as a pro-abortion, tax em to the hilt, grab their guns, and sell out America to the Islamofascists candidate, all the better. He'll lose by a landslide in November.

In 2004, the Kerry campaign's obsession with undecided voters -- voters so easily swayed that 46 percent of them found credible the Swift Boaters' charges that Kerry might have faked his war wounds to earn a Purple Heart

Imagine that! Undecided voters swayed by the unrefuted truth. What is this world coming to?

The moonbats want their candidate to commit political suicide. Its music to my ears!

The Swift Boaters were telling the truth about John F*ckin's service record. Not that the Left and the MSM will ever acknowledge it.

“Tacking to the center is a losing strategy”

Wrong.

All presidential candidates do it. The ‘True Believers’ must be courted to get the nomination. as they are the ones who will give money, make calls and walk precincts, but the majority of votes are in the center; a fact as loathed on FR as it is on DU. It’s a ritual dance that’s been going on as long as we’ve had political parties, with very few exceptions.

Always amusing to hear Zsa-Zsa’s thoughts — if you’ll pardon the oxymoron.

Great news... the moonbats are going for the socialist banzai! Blind emotion for “the cause” will lose them another election... maybe by a landslide.

I disagree with you and agree with the nutty lefties on this one.

When he campaigns from the middle he comes across as fake, uninspired, and confused. It’s like he’s campaigning in another language when he campaigns from the middle. So it’s a loser for him.

He has to stay as far left as possible, because that’s all he knows, and what he’s most comfortable doing. It’s like night and day.

I do agree, though, that staying far left is a loser as well. But he has a better chance staying left, using the race card to get the guilt vote, and using the MSM to water down his lefty message to make it more acceptable to the idiots that may vote for him. Than he does going middle and losing all credibility and inspiration. IMO

I'm with you Fox. A candidate with a tissue paper resume cannot get away with the kind of tacking Obama is doing. Most Americans barely know anything about Barack Obama and they are not going to get more comfortable with him if he keeps changing his positions on everything. Today ABC News is calling him out on welfare reform.

To me, this can only mean that Obama's campaign has had to pretty much abandon its original campaign plan because of John McCain. I think they fully intended to sell Obama as a "progressive" and try to change the "liberal" brand the way they think Ronald Reagan changed the conservative brand in the 1980s. They thought Republicans were going to nominate Mitt Romney and they would have no trouble painting him as a flip flopper and a right wing nut. They thought Obama would come out of the primaries with a solid double digit lead in the polls and not have to tack to the center on anything.

Say what you want about John McCain, but he has seriously f-ed up Obama's campaign plan.
