I read some statements from Lula the other day in reference to the oil discovery. He was clearly conflicted, because about half the speech was about how Brazil was going to become a major petroleum producer and not be a member of OPEC, and the other half was about how Brazil was going to corner the ethanol market with its sugar cane production!
