Since when is glycerin a waste product? It has hundreds of applications across several industries.

It becomes a waste product when it's a byproduct and when supply exceeds demand. I guess there is just too much of it with this much biodiesel production.

It's my understanding that the glycerin that comes out of the biodiesel process is poor quality and has fewer uses.
