It's my understanding that the glycerin that comes out of the biodiesel process is poor quality and has fewer uses. That would explain it. This process could give it some more valuable uses.

EVERYTHIIG that comes out of a chemical process is poor quality and has few uses....that’s why they have refineries...to refine a low quality intermediate product to a high quality end product.
