In your article today about the L.A. mayor’s race, you wrote, “So far no other major candidate has declared, but there other people thinking about running — namely billionaire mall magnate Rick Caruso.”
My name is Walter Moore. Not only am I a declared candidate, but I have been advertising my campaign on radio for months, and have raised over $101,000 in contributions so far.
So let me ask, were you unaware of my candidacy, or do you just not deem me a “major candidate?” And what criteria do you apply to determine who is a “major candidate?” My supporters and I would be very interested to know. More importantly, I think your newspaper’s readers would like to know.
