Did Tim Russert think he had the power to make someone POTUS ??My take on that...yes, he did think that. He had an entire program mapped out to get Obama elected and he was smart and clever about it.

Brokaw didn't laugh and responded he couldn't promise to make Arnold POTUS !!
But, I agree ....the death of Tim Russert was a BIG BLOW to Obama’s run for the POTUS !!

[Russert] had an entire program mapped out to get Obama elected and he was smart and clever about it. Wow. Is that why he took out Hillary? (I always thought there was something fishy about his sudden resort to tough questions, that he got from Rush, when he put Hillary on the spot in that debate. No wonder Bill got so mad at him.)
