It's not only oil... now it's corn as well. Rather than drill and opt for new refineries... the Dem/RINO coalition have decided to add food as our second source of inflation. The best... are being led by the worst!
I also bring up Halliburton. The Democrats demonized Halliburton and threatened to drag them before congress so they could “investigate” the companies unfair profits.
Gee, how did that work out?
Oh yeah, Halliburton moved out of the country so now we don’t get their tax money. And here I thought the Democrats were against off-shoring business. I must have missed something.
What a despicable thing Delahunt said.
Did he ever apologize?
BTW, morning all, AB.
So glad you mention the perpetually tanned Boehner, Laverne.
Because I was just about to launch into my mantra about...WHERE ARE THE PUBBIES?
Does anyone doubt that Harry Reid or Pelosi wouldn’t already be holding impeachment hearings had a pub said such a thing?
I’m sure we’ll see a few brave pubbies out and demanding Delahunt’s apology, excoriating him, making sure the public knows what a vicious thing he said.
Give them time. Takes the pubs a while.
And for sure the pub candidate for prez will mention it, right?
I would think that Rep. Pete King (NY) would come out to blast him...or all they all at the beach already.
Can you think of anything that the two governors said in their rambling that was about energy and also made common sense rather than leading us in the wrong direction?
Hi Didi,
I’m watching Portman now. I understand he’s under consideration for a McCain VP.
I’ll tell you what about McCain. If he goes and picks a TRUE conservative for his VP slot, which excludes Crist et al, but if he choses a conservative who could ascend to the presidency in no more than eight years, I will support John McCain till the cows come home.
I will shout his name from the rooftops. I will work for his candidacy.
Because to pick a conservative as his VP, McCain will at least be showing a graciousness to the conservative base. It seems so fair to me.
For I think McCain is running slightly right of center for president but that requires him to ignore, at best, the pub conservative base, at times, at worst, to show an open disdainment of the conservatives.
But hey, I’ll be a maverick, I’ll compromise. John McCain, you run based on your politics and if you win I shall respect you as my president and command in chief. You be gracious and appoint a conservative as your VP and I will work like the dickens to get you elected.
Don’t know about Portman yet but Romney is acceptable to me. I know others take exception to Romney and I respect that. But by me Romney lives his life conservatively no matter how Massachusetts affected his brain. Others mileage may vary.
Jindal is okay, maybe Portman but he just said no, he has teenaged sons. I wonder if he’s being coy.
Addington (like that one BigOilGuy a week or two ago) was not intimidated by the pathetic, posturing p... umm Clown Congress of the left, and I loved it.
In four firm and dignified but not inflammatory words he opened Delahunt up wide and exposed what he is and what he wants to do to people who disagree with him.
I would have said it like this: Sounds like you'd like to kill me but, being the belly crawling little coward you are, you had to suggest to your allies in Al Qaeda that they do it for you.
They're not liberal in the common, American definition anymore... they're socialist at best and they're driven by Marxist-socialists. They're against everything our forefathers fought for... and they're winning!
I am ardently hoping for that, Morgan.
“...when Congress returns after the 4th of July vacation”
^^^^^^
President Bush made several Rose Garden statements this week (along with many other appearances that can only be seen on our Dose or the WH website).
On one that was shown on TV news, he asked Congress to address something before they left for their “Fourth of July week”.
No reporter picked up on that dig.
Look, it's very simple. Supply and demand. Demand is at an all time high. China now has 250 people in the middle class and above*. That's as least as many as there are Americans at the same level. Demand will NOT go down unless there is a world-wide depression. Do you dem votes want THAT? It would destroy you!
The ONLY way out is to get MORE supply. That means one thing folks, drill!
Drill now, drill tomorrow, drill into the future. Work with all our possible strength and intellect to come up with alternate energy that WORKS, not some enviros pie in the sky. Gee, sounds a lot like McCain's plan, huh?
Your vote will make the difference! You can have Nancy Pelosi and her Congress getting to “Stick” it to the rich oil barons—which will NOT produce one more drop of oil, but let the sheiks laugh and spend, or....
You can vote for those who want to roll up there sleeves and start to work now, finding and retrieving oil right here in the USA and off our own shores.
What's it going to be?
LOL!...
That was the most boring MTP EVER in the history of the program. Well, so far anyway.
I thought you knew!
The Democrats repealed the law of supply and demand.
Great example, and it can be repeated all over the country.
