After about 10min, nick either the carotid or the femoral artery enough to continue to bleed but not too fast and let him feel his life slowly drain away while in pain from the RUQ stick.
Yes he will last more than 10 min, but that depends how deep you stick him and if you nick a lung in the process.

While I certainly can understand, and share, your feelings that he died "too easy", thinking about it, the way the military apparently does things is to give the target absolutely NO change to react or get away. Playing with this guy like a cat plays with a mouse is not the way to do it.
They fired not one but TWO Hellfire missiles - they were pretty serious about getting him.
