Bill Clinton is so bitter about Barack Obama's victory over his wife Hillary that he has told friends the Democratic nominee will have to beg for his wholehearted support.
Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president's future campaign role is a "sticking point" in peace talks with Mrs Clinton's aides.
The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

If Clinton mentions anything about Obama’s tie, he knows he is on the enemies list.

Will there be a "Joe Klein" writing a Primary Colors II, the Undoing of Hillary book and film? The inside story of Hillary's campaign would make the original Primary Colors look like a documentary of a Swiss Family Robinson.

I don't understand why this sort of talk or language surprises anyone.
Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, and presumably Harry Truman, Teddy Roosevelt, and a pile of other Presidents have used far "saltier" language than "kiss my ass".
Our society has become completely pussified if we are actually surprised or offended by our leaders -- present or past -- using such talk. The Brits are stirring up trouble.
Big deal.

"Bill Clinton knows the party will unite behind Obama, but he is telling people he doesn't believe Obama can win round voting groups, especially working-class whites, in the swing states," the strategist said.Bill Clinton may be many things, grifter, rapist, treasonous bastard, adulterer and pervert, but the man knows his politics.
If Bill Clinton says Obama can't win in November. I believe him

Seriously, with the nomination of Obama Clinton is no longer head of the Democrat party AND his wife is also defeated. Bill knows HIS influence and importance is going down and he is POed.
