Could either humblegunner or one of his friends please explain the motivation behind his original post.
Many responded against him because, in that post, HG made unwarranted assumptions (judgments) about the original poster and then pointlessly attacked him. Perhaps HG is a great guy, I don't know. I have judged nothing about him except what is evident from his first post.
Read his first (polite?) post, and explain his motivation for it. What was his purpose in posting that? Anybody?

I would not phrase that as being polite. Your friend jumped on me and while doing so proved himself wrong on every occasion:
1. Rush had nothing to do with this thread, as I rarely listen to him.
2. I posted this not in idolatry of any radio talk show host, but rather to illustrate an example of the contempt that the left has for those of us on the right. The cartoon is despicable and this discussion has been a distraction.

Yeah, I guess I am the idiot. I looked at it for all of two seconds, as to be honest, HG was not worth more then a cursory glance.
It also seems that some people cannot have a discussion here w/o throwing out childish insults and attacks, that does not speak well for those that do so.
Folks who refer to Limbaugh as "the Great One" exhibit hero worship or worse.
I expected the post would be self-explanatory.
If one blindly accepts anything that comes out of Limbaugh's mouth
as holy writ and refers to him with titles, one is deifying him.

I actually met HG live and in person although he wouldn’t remember because I am very introverted and keep a very low profile.
I liked him immediately. He’s very friendly, warm and affable.
However, I still don’t understand why he becomes so caustic on the internet. I’m starting to think that he uses FR as his play-toy or sandbox just for his own amusement but I just don’t know for sure.
Maybe he can enlighten us although in all likelihood his response will be more attempted humor, if at all.

I did not refer to anyone as The Great One. I referred to the 'Great One'. I specifically used the single quotation around the phrase, also known as "scare quotes" to signify a specific meaning, one which was lost on you.
You have since jumped on me numerous times all because of your misinterpretations.
If you had asked me a serious question, I would have responded in kind.
Point of order. Someone telling you that you “seem” a certain way is not the same as telling you that you ARE a certain way.
Seems = what I see. Is = what is. They’re not the same.
I think you’re confused about what “scare quotation marks” are. Else why did you put doubles around “scare”?
